R&D Test Lab Technician – Busbar Testing

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented R&D Test Lab Technician to support the development, validation, and standardization of busbar testing methods. The role involves preparing and conducting tests, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring accurate, repeatable, and documented results to support product innovation and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, set up, and execute test procedures for busbar systems according to R&D requirements, industry standards, and internal protocols.
* Assist in the development and standardization of new testing methods to ensure repeatability and accuracy.
* Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Collect, record, and analyze test data; prepare technical reports and summaries for engineers and project teams.
* Collaborate with design and development teams to provide feedback on product performance and reliability.
* Support continuous improvement in test methodologies, equipment utilization, and laboratory best practices.
* Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, quality systems, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
* Hands-on experience in laboratory testing, preferably within electrical components, power distribution, or related fields.
* Knowledge of busbar systems, electrical testing standards (e.g., IEC, UL), and material properties is a strong advantage.
* Proficiency in using test instruments, data acquisition systems, and measurement tools.
* Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
* Good communication and technical reporting skills.
Preferred Experience
* Prior work in R&D or product validation environments.
* Familiarity with high-current or thermal testing of conductors.
* Experience in developing or validating new laboratory test procedures.
