Overview of the role:PJ Hegarty & Sons is seeking to recruit a Design Co-ordinator to join our construction team on a large scale commercial project in Dublin City Centre. Project-based and reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, the candidate will work with the site management team, the design team and supply chain to deliver coordinated, buildable and cost-effective co-ordinated design solutions.They will be responsible for managing and coordinating the design process on the various CSA and MEP packages, ensuring sub-contractor detail designs are compliant, deliverable and aligned with client and design team requirements, statutory regulations and contractual obligations.Duties of the Role:Manage the production and delivery of design information in line with programme requirements. Coordinate the inputs of consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve fully integrated design solutions. Support the development and management of design programmes, deliverables and project reporting. Support the Coordination and track the submittal and approval process of Designs and materials ensuring Client Representative sign off and approvalsEnsure timely resolution of design queries and interface issues across CSA and MEP subcontract packagesSkills / Experience required for the role:Degree / Higher Diploma qualification in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role Working knowledge of latest building regulation and certification standardsExperience in managing consultants and subcontractor design packages. Excellent attention to detail and organisational / planning skills.To be self-motivated with ability to work on own initiativeAbility to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.Further Information on the Role: The company assists in career progression of its employees.
