At our hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in West Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to take the next step in their career in occupational therapy.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopaedics, surgical, and medical rehabilitation, with a proven ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a team. As a leader and mentor, they will be responsible for supervising junior Occupational Therapists and students, driving service development initiatives, and promoting functional independence through rehabilitation interventions and discharge planning.
About the Role
This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you will make a real difference every day. You will provide expert assessment, intervention, and discharge planning for patients across a variety of acute settings, including Neuro, Stroke, Orthopaedics, Medical, Surgical, and the Medical Assessment Unit.
In addition to your clinical expertise, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support patients and work effectively within a team. You will also participate in service development initiatives and quality improvement projects, and engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities.
Requirements
* CORU Registration as an Occupational Therapist (Essential)
* A minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience, with at least 1 year in an acute hospital setting
* Strong clinical skills, particularly in orthopaedics, surgical, and medical rehabilitation
* Proven ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to an MDT
* Leadership and mentoring experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
