Kitchen Porter Job Description
As a kitchen porter, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency in our kitchen and back-of-house areas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist head chef in storing equipment safely and preventing breakages
* Check products against standards for consistency daily
* Record breakages to support reordering and budgeting
* Ensure efficient service to internal customers at all times
* Identify needs for tools and utensils to meet and exceed standards
You will be responsible for:
Cleaning and Sanitation:
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and back-of-house areas
* Carry out cleaning tasks in accordance with departmental standards
* Follow, record, and document all cleaning as required by kitchen procedures
Equipment Maintenance:
* Clean appliances in line with predetermined methods set by the head chef
* Clean vents, extracts, and hoods as required
