Job Title: Maintenance Fitter
A Maintenance Fitter is required to work in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role involves supporting operations across the business unit and ensuring plant and machinery are maintained to optimal performance and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance tasks.
* Diagnose faults and quickly respond to equipment breakdowns.
* Repair and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
* Maintain motors, gearboxes, chain drives, and other equipment.
* Perform welding and fabrication tasks where required.
* Support plant upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Maintain automated equipment (e.g., conveyors and wrapping machines).
* Recommend system/process modifications to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Hold a Mechanical Fitter apprenticeship (MAMF) or equivalent qualification.
* Have 25+ years of post-apprenticeship experience in industrial or manufacturing settings.
* Experience in machine shop operations is an advantage.
* Be proficient with SAP or other CMMS platforms and Microsoft Office tools.
* Have a solid understanding of GMP/cGMP, LOTO, and plant safety practices.
