We achieve this only through the excellence, innovation and passion of our team members.We are currently recruiting for a Sales Manager to work across both our properties.This role requires some Domestic & International Travel but is mainly office based between Fota Island Resort & The KingsleyOur commitment to you:Company Risk SchemeCompany funded educational programsRewards and recognition programsDiscount on Dining options of up to 50%Reduction on accommodation rate for family and friendsDiscount for Spa treatments and productsUse of Health ClubsStaff Dining FacilitiesService AwardsStaff Appreciation eventsStaff ParkingOpportunity for career progression with the Sales & Events Department as well as the Tourism industryWhat we are looking for:Previous experience in a similar role within the tourism, hospitality or retail sector is desirable but not essentialProactive, self-motivated individual with an ability to work on their own initiativeAttention to detail and organisational skillsExcellent Customer Service and Communication Skills with fluency in spoken and written EnglishExcellent Interpersonal skillsFull drivers' licence with access to own car is essential for this roleImmaculate Grooming3rd level Tourism, Hospitality or Business Diploma or equivalent desirableBasic Computer SkillsResponsibilities:Account manage new and existing accounts for both Fota Island Resort & The KinglseyManage all client enquiries in a timely and professional mannerCreate and send proposals to clientsFollow up to convert and contract businessWork with the onsite Reservations & Events teams to convert live enquiries into confirmed business for both hotelsOrganise & conduct regular client meetings, presentations, site visits and familiarizations trips to promote the hotel's offerings to clientsRepresent the hotels at networking events, breakfast briefings, award ceremonies, dinners and other business events with the objective of acquiring new business.Attend relevant Trade Shows and Events, locally, nationally and internationally.Actively seek out Sales Leads from internal and external sources i.e. Opera, Events, Reservations and Front Office Teams as well as through media platformsActively research and target new business for both hotels.Complete Weekly and Monthly Sales ReportsUtilize Opera Cloud (CRM system) to its full capacity as a sales tool to record Account, Contact and other sales information.Attend Weekly Management Meetings, Revenue, Sales and Marketing Meetings and any other internal meetings when required.Assist in the training of any new starters in the Sales & Events departments of both properties.Assist in the Events Departments of both properties if required i.e. send proposals, conduct site inspections, showarounds, follow up call, emails, updating Opera (CRM system)Achieve budgeted goals as set out in the annual budget.
