St John of God Liffey Services invites applications for the position of Clinical Nurse Manager 2/ Social Care Leader, PIC based in the North Kildare area to provide support to individuals with an intellectual disability within our Residential and Community Residential Services. The successful candidate must be:On current register as maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland and preferably possess the RNID qualification (or) DIT Diploma in Social Care/Diploma in Applied Social Studies or Social Care.
Open Training College National Diploma in Applied Social Studies (Disability).Proof of Registration with Coru (or) NMBI.Have at least 5 years post registration experience of which 2 must be in the area of Intellectual Disability.A minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory/leader role in health/social care and strong clinical, managerial, and administrative skills evident in previous roles.Management qualification or the ability to demonstrate that a management module has formed part of qualifications/studies in order to be person in charge (PIC) of the designated centre.A commitment to supporting residents to live fulfilled lives in their community.Able to demonstrate excellent leadership qualities and work effectively with a range of disciplines/professions.
Demonstrate evidence of continued commitment to professional development.Excellent communication skills essential.Excellent knowledge and understanding of relevant Health Act Regulations, HIQA standards and all other relevant legislation.Full clean manual driving license and access to own vehicle.
