Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join a well-established solicitors firm in Kildare. This is a permanent, full-time position with the option for part-time work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage client and office bank accounts, including online banking payments, cheque payments, and transaction recording on the accounts system.
* Maintain petty cash and handle accounts payable by recording supplier invoices and managing payments.
* Manage accounts receivable, including client invoicing and credit control.
* Maintain client matter ledgers in accordance with Solicitors Accounts Regulations.
* Prepare compliance reports in accordance with Solicitors Accounts Regulations.
* Process staff expenses and handle payroll, including ROS submissions and reporting.
* Manage VAT & VIES returns, including ROS submissions.
* Record and reconcile Land Registry, Court Franking, and CRO accounts.
* Submit Revenue Commissioners Stamp Duty returns.
* Supervise Accounts Assistants and outsourced bookkeeping support as required.
* Manage the Nominal Ledger, including processing journal entries.
* Prepare ad hoc reports for management.
Requirements:
* Accounting Technician or equivalent accounting qualification.
* Previous experience working in accounts within a legal firm or solicitors.
* Knowledge of Legal Accounting Systems, preferably Keyhouse Case Management.
* Familiarity with online banking processes and VAT rates.
* Understanding of solicitors accounts regulations.
* A proactive and professional attitude.
* Capable of working independently and dealing with staff at all levels.
