Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organisation and contributing to its growth.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in line with Irish GAAP and company policies.
* Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
* Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE/PRSI, and Corporation Tax returns to Revenue.
* Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
* Perform bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger accounts.
* Support annual audits by liaising with external auditors and preparing audit files.
* Monitor cash flow, budgets and forecasts, providing regular updates to management.
* Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements in Ireland.
* Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls.
* Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting standards.
* Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
* Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to ensure liquidity.
* Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero to manage financial transactions efficiently.
* Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support operational decisions.
* Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices.
Experience
* ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA qualified (or part-qualified with relevant experience).
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* Strong knowledge of Irish accounting standards, Revenue regulations, and tax compliance.
* Experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and strong MS Excel skills.
* Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
