Attractive salary package
Tipperary
There can be no greater test of your newsroom and leadership accomplishments than stepping up to the role of
Regional Editor in Tipperary
– running not one but two major titles and a flagship website.
It's the kind of large-scale challenge you can only find at
Iconic Media Group
. Not only are we Ireland's biggest local digital and newspaper publisher, with titles and websites reaching over 400,000 readers and a further 5 million unique users, but we're part of Media Concierge, the independently owned network of 100 digital and print news brands and complementary businesses spanning Ireland and the UK.
So, this opportunity is about setting the editorial vision and leading from the front on both digital and print coverage – but also recruiting, coaching and developing staff to foster a positive, ambitious newsroom culture that will fuel further dynamic success and growth.
As Regional Editor,
you'll be one of the country's most influential editorial voices, responsible for Ireland's
industry-leading digital news platform, Tipperary Live,
plus two top weekly newspapers,
Tipperary Star and Clonmel Nationalist,
along with associated special editions and projects.
Leading, mentoring and supporting highly experienced editorial teams across two newsroom locations, you'll develop bold strategies, maintain the highest standards, encourage innovation, manage extensive resources and budgets, and uphold a strong, trusted presence at the heart of the Tipperary community.
What makes you ready to step up to this challenge?
A great track record in the newsroom, including significant experience in a leadership or senior editorial role and an obvious gift for communication, decision-making and organisation. A proven ability to manage both print and digital operations, with a strong grasp of digital publishing tools, SEO, analytics platforms and social media strategy.
And last but very definitely not least, an in-depth knowledge and appreciation of the Tipperary region, its local government structures and key community concerns, with the potential to thrive in this media environment whilst also shaking up the wider media world.
To apply, please email a cover letter and CV to Brian Keyes, Group Editorial Director (samples of work welcome).
Closing date 19th December 2025.
