Support Worker Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with an intellectual disability to live fulfilling lives.
The focus of this role is to empower individuals to realise their vision for a good life through person-centred approaches. You will work closely with colleagues to develop initiatives that support individuals to become connected and valued within their local community.
Your expertise in supporting individuals with communication needs and those who may display behaviours of concern will be invaluable in this role. We require a candidate with a proven track record in supporting individuals to develop valued social roles.
You will have the opportunity to use your own initiative and plan effectively to meet the needs of our service users. A valid licence to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland is essential for this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* FETAC/QQI Level 5 (Major Award) in Healthcare or equivalent required;
* Experience/knowledge of supporting persons with a range of support needs;
* Excellent communication skills;
* Strong initiative and creativity;
* Flexibility and willingness to undertake roster covering various houses/locations.

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to be available for any day and sleepover shifts. In addition, we require staff members to be willing to work alone in the residents' homes.
