Housing Officer (Band 4)
Location: Belfast
Salary: £14.35 per hour
Hours: Full-Time
Weekly Hours: 37 hours
Working Pattern: Monday – Friday
Duration: Temporary
Access NI: Basic clearance required prior to appointment

About the Role We are currently recruiting for a Housing Officer (Band 4) to join a busy public sector housing administration team.
The successful candidate will provide essential housing administration support, working across telephony systems, inbox management, case handling, and customer correspondence, ensuring accurate and timely service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Use telephony systems to answer and manage incoming calls
Monitor and manage main inboxes
Draft written responses to letters and complaints on behalf of the Business Area Manager
Use triage systems to allocate and manage work requests
Record all outcomes ensuring they are proportionate, legal, auditable and necessary
Make outbound calls to customers to gather information for assessments
Set up and maintain databases using initiative where required
Provide cover arrangements within the office as required
Undertake other relevant administrative duties as required
Essential Criteria
IT proficiency (beginner level)
Less than 1 year of relevant experience
Ability to work on own initiative
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to demonstrate motivation and a proactive approach
Compassionate and customer-focused approach
Ability to take responsibility for accurate and timely completion of tasks
