Role: Project Engineer – Contract Logistics
Location: Santry, Dublin or Leixlip, Kildare
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 16:30
We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our Contract Logistics team in Ireland. In this role, you will support the business with all engineering tasks related to sustaining current operations and implementing new projects. You'll play a key role in process design, warehouse layout, costing, and implementation — ensuring our customers receive innovative and efficient logistics solutions.
What will you be doing?
 * Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects.
 * Analyse customer data to design and implement tailored logistics solutions.
 * Define and implement operational process flows, including receiving, storage, and picking strategies.
 * Work closely with IT to align WMS setup and network developments.
 * Develop cost models, prepare technical solution documents, and support tender proposals.
 * Track project performance against timelines, budgets, and objectives, reporting on progress.
 * Coordinate with internal teams, customers, and contractors during project execution.
 * Support procurement, equipment installation, and operational handover activities.
 * Ensure full compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
 * Assist with project close-out, snag lists, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
 * Previous experience in a technical or project coordination role within logistics or a related field.
 * Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel), MS Project, and Visio.
 * Experience using AutoCAD for warehouse layout design.
 * Strong understanding of warehouse processes and equipment.
 * Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with great attention to detail.
 * Strong organisational and time management abilities, able to manage multiple projects.
 * Effective communicator, confident presenting to customers and internal stakeholders.
 * Self-motivated and adaptable, able to work independently or as part of a team.
 * Commercially aware, with an appreciation of lean management principles.
 * Willingness to travel as required.
