Job Title: Communications & Grants ExecutiveReports to: Financial Controller and CEOLocation: Cork City – On SiteContract: Fixed Term / Part Time (25 hours per week)Salary: Negotiable, DOERole PurposeThe Communications & Grants Executive will play a pivotal role in promoting the charity's mission and securing funding to support its work. This role combines proactive communications, storytelling, and digital engagement with the preparation and management of grant applications, helping to raise the charity's profile and income.Key ResponsibilitiesCommunicationsAssist in creating engaging content for digital channels, newsletters, social media, website, and print materialsSupport campaigns that raise awareness, engage supporters, and promote fundraising initiativesCollaborate with colleagues to capture stories and case studies that demonstrate impactMonitor and report on communications performance metricsEnsure all communications reflect the charity's brand, values, and tone of voiceGrants & TrustsResearch, identify, and maintain a pipeline of grant funding opportunitiesPrepare and submit high-quality grant applications, working with teams to gather impact data and project informationManage deadlines, reporting requirements, and relationships with fundersTrack grants income and produce monitoring reports as requiredMaintain records of all grant applications, approvals, and reportsCollaboration & AdministrationWork closely with team leads to deliver integrated campaignsSupport the production of newsletters, reports, and promotional materials for stakeholdersMaintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant fundraising and data protection regulationsContribute to team meetings and share ideas to improve communications and fundraising performancePerson SpecificationEssentialExperience in communications, marketing, or fundraising (paid or voluntary)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organisational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesAbility to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholdersPassion for the charity sector and its missionDesirableExperience with grant writing and working with trusts and foundationsKnowledge of social media platforms, digital marketing, and analytics toolsUnderstanding of impact measurement and reportingValues & BehavioursCommitment to equality, diversity, and inclusionCollaborative and proactive approachProfessional, creative, and solution-focusedJob Types: Part-time, Fixed termExpected hours: 25 per weekBenefits:Employee assistance programEmployee discountGym membershipOn-site gymOn-site parkingWork Location: In person
