Site Operations Manager
This is a challenging opportunity to lead on-site operations, ensuring projects are delivered successfully.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversight of day-to-day site activities, aligning work with project plans and specifications.
* Monitoring project progress, preparing detailed updates for the project manager, and maintaining accurate records.
* Coordination and supervision of subcontractors and tradespeople, ensuring efficient workflows and quality output.
* Regular inspections to ensure construction adheres to technical drawings, quality standards, and project specifications.
* Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and welfare management systems by conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
* Set out site works using robotic total stations, GPS, and other surveying tools, ensuring accurate measurements and layouts.
* Management of plant, labour, and materials, including monitoring day-work activities and liaising with suppliers for timely orders.
* Addressing technical issues on-site, interpreting drawings, and communicating design changes or construction challenges to the team.
* Acting as the primary point of contact on-site for contractors, suppliers, inspectors, and regulatory authorities, ensuring clear and effective communication.
* Reporting regularly to management on project progress, resource requirements, and any issues affecting timelines or budgets.
Requirements
* A strong understanding of construction methodologies and building regulations.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines effectively.
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to manage teams and liaise with stakeholders.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills to address on-site challenges promptly.
* Proficiency in construction software tools (e.g., Auto CAD, MS Project).
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Team-oriented approach with the ability to build strong working relationships.
* Adaptability to work in fast-paced, dynamic construction environments.
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
* Experience working on medium to large-scale construction projects Familiarity with Irish construction regulations, standards, and best practices.
