* The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) will support the Director of Nursing in the day-to-day clinical and operational management of a nursing home, ensuring a high standard of evidence-based care.

* Key responsibilities include leading and supervising the delivery of person-centred, evidence-based nursing care, monitoring and evaluating clinical practices, and supporting the development and implementation of care plans.
">
* Assist in preparing for, responding to, and following up on HIQA inspections and audits, and maintain and update required documentation.
">
* Supervise, mentor, and support nursing and care staff, promoting continuous professional development, and participate in recruitment, onboarding, rostering, and performance appraisals.
">
* Facilitate regular team meetings, clinical supervision, and reflective practice sessions, and promote dignity, autonomy, and choice for all residents in a safe, inclusive environment.
">
* Act as a key point of contact for residents and families, handling concerns or complaints professionally and in line with policy, and assist the DON in strategic planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and policy development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
">
">
* Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active registration required, minimum of 3 years experience in nursing management/nursing home or similar aged care setting.
">
* Demonstrated knowledge of HIQA, National Standards, and relevant legislation, leadership training and/or management qualification desirable.
">
* Postgraduate qualification in nursing leadership an advantage.
