The Grade VI will support the Radiology Clinical Director and Radiography Services Managers in relation to clerical services.Overview of role:Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport the Radiography Services Managers in relation to radiology clerical servicesManage the clerical teams within the hospital's main radiology department and the primary care centre radiology departmentEnsure the smooth operation of clerical services within the radiology directorateEngage with HR for recruitment of clerical staff for the radiology directorateManage staff rosters to ensure adequate clerical coverageLiaise with HR on grievances and disciplinary mattersWork with the RSMs to ensure the administrative function is within budget, developing business cases for new or replacement pay and non-pay itemsManage CORE for all clerical staff within the radiology directorateProvide updates for weekly and monthly TUH/HSE reports as requestedCollaborate with the Clinical Director and Radiography Services Managers on initiatives within the directorateParticipate in waiting list management and escalate issues appropriatelyPromote continuing education for clerical staffEnsure staff understand the importance of quality and work to standardsHandle patient advocacy queriesPerform any other duties as assignedWork effectively as part of a team delivering high-quality radiology servicesQualifications & Experience requiredMust have at least Grade D3 in five subjects in the Leaving Certificate or equivalent, or passed an equivalent QQI qualification (Fetac Level 5)Four years’ relevant experience, including administration in the health sector or related industryMinimum of 1 year supervisory/management experience3rd level qualification in a relevant fieldPractical IT skills, including NIMISFluent in English, both spoken and writtenWillingness to attend HR management workshopsExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsOrganised, detail-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindsetAbility to meet tight deadlinesStrong relationship-building skills, customer-focused, results-orientedDesirable:Experience with NIMISExperience in an acute hospital settingDegree in a relevant fieldReward & RecognitionRemuneration according to the Department of Health salary scales, grade code 0574Permanent, full-time, pensionable positionAnnual leave entitlement: 30 daysWork hours: 35 hours/week over 5 days, with hours between 8 am and 8 pm, across 7 days as needed
