Control & Instrumentation Commissioning Engineer Location: County Clare, Ireland️ Start Date: October 2025 Contract: 12 MonthsWe are seeking an experienced Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Commissioning Engineer to join a major project. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the successful delivery of a high-profile programme, from design through to commissioning.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure all project works comply with statutory safety, health, and environmental regulations, along with internal technical standards.Manage C&I work scopes, technical clarifications, documentation, and deliverables across all project phases.Liaise with engineering teams, contractors, consultants, and site staff to ensure smooth project execution.Lead and coordinate design reviews, test protocols, FAT/SAT, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and commissioning activities (loop checks, function checks, protection tests, etc.).Supervise and oversee contractors/subcontractors on-site, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.Support project planning, resourcing, and commercial aspects in collaboration with the wider project team.Represent the project at key meetings, manage correspondence, and provide timely progress and cost reporting.Develop and implement commissioning protocols and manage project close-out.Prepare close-out reports, collate documentation, and support other disciplines to ensure successful delivery.Ideal CandidateStrong background in Control & Instrumentation engineering with commissioning experience.Proven ability to manage contractors, consultants, and multiple stakeholders.Knowledge of FAT/SAT, ITPs, and commissioning processes.Excellent organisational and communication skills.If you are interested, please apply today!
