The RoleMachine build is a highly technical craft role that is crucial to the success of producing the company's high quality automation equipment for use in the Medical Device and Pharma industries. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced equipment technician to work as part of the engineering project team. You will have the opportunity of working with leading edge automation technologies such as robotics, vision systems, drives, controls systems etc. It's a hands on role that involves the mechanical and electrical assembly and debug of complex machines. The role contributes significantly to the continued success of Ward Automation.ResponsibilitiesWorking from the design drawings to perform the mechanical and electrical assembly of bespoke machinesMechanical, electrical and pneumatic debug of machinesLiaise and communicate with the different project team membersResponsible for the quality of the buildResponsible for ensuring that machine build timelines and targets are achievedKey SkillsAbility to interpret electrical, mechanical and pneumatic drawingsCapable of clearly understanding the functionality of the equipment being builtAbility to troubleshoot and develop creative solutions both mechanically and electricallyA high degree of craft skill with the ability to setup machines to fine tolerances to produce the desired resultsExcellent communication skillsProficient computer skills in MS office, experience with mechanical and electrical CAD software is an advantageExperience/QualificationsQualified Electrician or Fitter or Level 7 in a relevant engineering disciplineThree years' experience in a similar roleApply by email to: Job Type: Full-timePay: €13.50-€19.96 per hourWork Location: In person
