HSE Recruitment Process –
The CNS Respiratory Care Acute Services post holder will deliver care in line with the five core concepts of the role set out in the Framework for the Establishment of Clinical Nurse/Midwife Specialist Posts, 4th edition, National Council for the Professional Development of Nursing and Midwifery (NCNM) ****.
Caseload
The CNS Respiratory Care - Acute Services will focus initially on the following service user groups:
Patients with newly diagnosed asthma,
Patients with Acute, Chronic Asthma and Severe Asthma – requiring Monoclonal Antibody therapy.
Patients diagnosed with COPD.
Patients requiring Long Term Oxygen Therapy,
Patients with type 1 and type 2 respiratory failure, requiring ward-based support such as NIV, CPAP or High Flow Nasal Therapy.
Patients requiring home NIV.
Patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnoea requiring home CPAP.
Patients with pulmonary fibrosis.
