We're home to the popular Nelligan's Bar & Restaurant and CASK - Limerick's premier live music and entertainment venue. With 30 years of hospitality excellence and an exciting expansion ahead, we're looking for a dynamic Sales and Marketing Executive to drive revenue growth and enhance our brand presence.
The Role
We're seeking an ambitious and results-driven sales and marketing professional to play a pivotal role in promoting and enhancing our hotel's brand image, attracting guests, and driving revenue across all market segments. This dynamic position combines strategic sales planning, relationship building, business development, and comprehensive event management with hands-on client engagement.You'll be responsible for maximising hotel revenue and profitability through effective sales strategies and exceptional event execution while maintaining our reputation for outstanding Irish hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Management
* Plan, coordinate, and execute conferences, weddings, corporate events, and social functions
* Conduct detailed event consultations and site inspections with potential clients
* Create comprehensive event proposals, contracts, and detailed event orders
* Coordinate with all hotel departments (kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance, bar) to ensure seamless event delivery
* Manage event timelines, logistics, and on-site coordination during functions
* Handle special dietary requirements, room setups, AV equipment, and décor arrangements
* Ensure all events meet our high standards and exceed client expectations
Revenue Generation & Sales Development
* Maximise hotel revenue and profitability from all market segments through strategic sales planning
* Identify and explore new market opportunities, corporate accounts, and potential clients
* Implement and maintain a sales-oriented culture across all departments
* Meet and exceed individual and departmental sales targets for rooms, F&B, and events
* Conduct proactive sales calls and maintain regular contact with key accounts
* Develop and execute sales strategies for corporate, leisure, group, and MICE markets
* Monitor and capitalise on short-term booking opportunities and last-minute sales
* Upsell hotel services, amenities, and experiences to maximise guest spend
Client Relationship Management
* Establish and nurture strong relationships with key clients, event planners, and suppliers
* Conduct show-arounds of hotel facilities for potential clients, couples, and event organizers
* Handle client inquiries, event proposals, and contracts professionally and promptly
* Maintain detailed client database, event history, and follow-up schedules
* Follow up on client feedback and post-event evaluations to ensure continuous improvement
* Build relationships with local vendors, suppliers, and event service providers
Market Research & Competitive Analysis
* Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis across all revenue streams
* Monitor industry trends, pricing strategies, and market conditions
* Maintain detailed information on local and regional competitive landscape
* Provide weekly updates to senior management on market opportunities and threats
* Analyse booking patterns, revenue trends, and sales performance metrics
* Research and identify new market segments and emerging opportunities
* Track competitor activities, rates, and promotional strategies
Strategic Sales Planning & Reporting
* Collaborate with the Revenue Manager to optimise pricing and inventory strategies
* Provide accurate weekly and monthly sales reports with actionable insights
* Assist in preparing annual departmental budgets and sales forecasts
* Develop and implement tactical sales plans for low-demand periods
* Work with senior management team to ensure all departments support sales initiatives
* Participate in monthly digital marketing calls and revenue management meetings
* Create sales presentations and proposals for key accounts and prospects
* Monitor sales pipeline and conversion rates across all market segments
Brand Promotion & Marketing Support
* Develop creative monthly e-newsletters and sales campaigns to generate new business
* Execute direct sales marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns
* Protect and promote Kilmurry Lodge Hotel's brand image across all sales channels
* Ensure all marketing materials, rate sheets, and sales collateral are current and effective
* Maintain company profiles across all market segments and distribution channels
* Collaborate on trade shows, sales missions, and networking events
* Support digital marketing efforts and online reputation management
What We're Looking ForEssential RequirementsProfessional Experience:
* Minimum 2-3 years experience in hotel sales, business development, or hospitality management
* Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets across multiple market segments
* Experience with event management, conference sales, and venue coordination
* Strong understanding of hospitality industry, revenue management, and distribution channels
* Experience with corporate sales, group bookings, and contract negotiations
Skills & Competencies:
* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with proven closing ability
* Strong project management and sales pipeline management capabilities
* Proficiency in CRM systems, PMS systems, and sales reporting tools
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
* Analytical skills with ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and revenue metrics
* Multitasking abilities with focus on both proactive sales and reactive event coordination

Desirable Qualifications
* Third-level qualification in Business, Marketing, Sales, Hospitality Management, or related field
* Professional sales training or certification
* Knowledge of Irish corporate market, travel agencies, and tour operators
