Pharmacy Technician - Claregalway
Contract Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Hours: 40 Hours per Week
About the Role:
A busy and community-focused pharmacy in Claregalway, is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join their professional dispensary team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a friendly working environment and excellent work-life balance.
Working Hours:
* 40 hours per week
* Every second Saturday required
* No Sundays or Bank Holidays
Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately prepare and dispense prescriptions under the supervision of the Pharmacist
* Manage medication stock levels, expiry checks, and general dispensary organisation
* Process end-of-month claims and manage GMS/DPS/Hi-Tech schemes
* Provide exceptional customer service and patient support
* Prepare and manage blister packs in line with pharmacy standards
* Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and PSI guidelines
* Assist the Pharmacist in daily dispensary operations
Candidate Requirements:
* Qualified Pharmacy Technician (IPU-recognised or Dispenser Course qualification)
* Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience in a busy community pharmacy
* Competent in schemes, end-of-month processes, and blister packaging
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
