Job Title: Security Guard

Job Summary
EEC Hardware are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Guard to ensure the safety of customers, staff, and property within our hardware store. The successful candidate will help prevent theft, maintain order, and respond appropriately to security incidents while providing a visible and reassuring presence on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor the premises to prevent theft, vandalism, and other security breaches.
* Patrol the shop floor, storage areas, entrances, and exits.
* Observe customer and staff activity and report suspicious behaviour.
* Respond promptly and calmly to incidents, alarms, or emergencies.
* Enforce store security policies and procedures in line with company guidelines.
* Liaise with store management, An Garda Síochána, and emergency services when required.
* Complete accurate incident reports and daily logs.
* Ensure emergency exits, fire routes, and safety equipment remain unobstructed.
* Provide a professional and courteous presence to customers and staff.
Requirements & Qualifications
* Valid Private Security Authority (PSA) Licence.
* Previous experience in security work.
* Good observation and communication skills.
* Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
* Physically fit and capable of standing and patrolling for extended periods.
* Fluent English required.
