Due to continued expansion, RPS, a Tetra Tech company, is looking to recruit a Mechanical Building Services Engineer who will contribute as a key member of our Building Services Team.
About The Team
Our M&E Building Services Team includes enthusiastic and experienced engineers from Graduate to Director level, working closely with clients, architects, and engineers to deliver exciting projects across various sectors. Current projects include healthcare buildings, schools, universities, laboratories, pharmaceutical facilities, and port infrastructure. We are committed to professional development and support our employees in gaining Chartered Engineer status. Our team is dedicated to achieving sustainability goals and recognizing the vital role of Building Services Engineers in reducing energy demand and harnessing renewable energy sources.
This is a hybrid role with offices in Dublin, Galway, and Cork.

About The Role
You will work under the supervision of a Senior Engineer, contributing to project delivery from concept to hand-over, including feasibility studies, design, site visits, and client interactions. Collaboration with team members and external partners is essential, as is demonstrating RPS values and behaviors.
Qualifications
* Industry-related Level 8 Degree in Mechanical, Building Services, or Energy Engineering
* Membership of a professional body such as Engineers Ireland or CIBSE is advantageous
Essential Requirements
* Experience in various sectors (Commercial, Industrial, Healthcare, etc.)
* Proven track record in mechanical building services design and coordination
* Knowledge of low-carbon design principles, nZEB, Part L compliance
* Established client relationships
* Experience working in BIM environments using Revit
Key Skills & Responsibilities
* Core building services design including HVAC, controls, utilities, drainage
* Preparation of feasibility studies, design drawings, reports, specifications, and cost estimates
* Client and team interactions, applying BIM Level 2 procedures
* Teamwork, project management, mentoring, and business development
* Proficiency with thermal modelling software such as IES
