**Production Manager – Manufacturing & Installation (Furniture)**
This is a unique opportunity to lead the production and installation team of a growing furniture business.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in operations management, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving process improvements.
In this role, you will oversee all aspects of production, including workshop management, logistics, quality control, and team leadership.
You will work closely with the workshop foreman and job scheduler to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
A key aspect of the role is to champion lean and six sigma principles to drive efficiency and improve processes.
The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and motivate teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with workshop foreman and job scheduler to manage projects and workflows*
* Lead and coordinate assembly teams to meet daily and weekly deadlines*
* Oversee machining operations and ensure materials flow smoothly through the factory*
* Manage logistics, including goods in/out, stock control, and waste management*
* Ensure timely dispatch and top-tier installation across projects*
* Uphold gold-standard quality controls across all stages*
* Drive excellence in GMP, ISO, and EHS standards*
* Tackle non-conformance issues, incident reports, and customer feedback*
* Inspire and lead teams across production, warehouse, and installation*
* Partner with leadership to align operational strategy with company goals*
Requirements:
* 5+ years in an operations management role*
* Proven leadership skills with a passion for people and performance*
* Hands-on experience with lean, six sigma, and ERP systems*
* Strategic thinker with excellent communication skills*
* Skilled in logistics, inventory, and production planning*
