What you will do:
As a Principal Engineer on the Industrialization team in Stryker Group's AMagine, you will get an opportunity to work with a team of technical process owners on an array of technical solutions for our current and next generation innovative products. You will interface with cross-functional team members both on a local and global scale.
* As a technical leader within the Industrialization team, you will help drive technical governance, promote a lean engineering approach, and ensure robust and scalable industrialisation practices from early concept through to full production.
* This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing technologies and business systems, it requires cross-functional collaboration, and a passion for continuous improvement.
* Work closely with manufacturing process owners from DFAM (Design for Additive Manufacturing), Additive manufacturing, CNC, Finishing, Inspection, Clean, packaging, labelling and sterilization to deliver innovative solutions.
* Provides a platform of knowledge on Additively Manufactured Materials, such as Metals and Polymers, by providing relevant training and technical direction.
* Provide business system user requirements to Digital & IT to enable a lean, scalable solution throughout the manufacturing process.
* Works cooperatively with senior technical leaders, engineering, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, and marketing to ensure programme success.
* Can work independently to plan and schedule own activities as necessary to meet programme deliverables.
* Continuous Improvement; establish and run the CI programme cycle.
* Business Performance: product traceability, metric definition, implementation, and reporting/governance cycle, leveraging power BI and OSI Pi.
* Programme management: interface for Value stream engineering the necessary programme review levels.
* Portfolio Management: anticipate the impact and integration of new products into the Production System.
* Driving the deployment and performance of overarching process model and framework for the business and integrate a system thinking mindset into our way of doing business - standard work.
* Align required product and value stream development roadmaps.
* Surfacing bottom-up alignment of technology and digital platform development roadmaps.
* Participate and lead in point Kaizen as required in support of global business development.
What you will need:
* Bachelor's Engineering or equivalent (Level 8 Degree)
* 8+ years of experience is required.
* Proven track record of working in a team-based environment.
