Our client, a busy public hospital in Dublin City Centre (North), is seeking a temporaryMedical Typist to support consultants and administrative teams with high-volume clinical correspondence and transcription in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Medical Typist Public Hospital, Dublin City Centre (North) €34,000 / €***** per hour Location: Dublin City Centre (North) On site Salary:€34,000 per annum / €***** per hour Contract: TEMPORARY/Rolling week to week contract Key Responsibilities: Provide accurate and timely typing of medical reports, clinic letters and patient documentation.
Transcribe from dictaphone and audio recordings for consultants and ward teams.
Maintain patient records, correspondence and filing systems in line with HSE standards.
Liaise with consultants, secretaries and administrative staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Essential Requirements: Minimum 2 years experience in a medical typing or secretarial role within a healthcare setting.
Excellent dictaphone and audio typing proficiency with strong accuracy and attention to detail.
High level of MS Word and administrative competence.
Leaving Certificate plus recognised secretarial or administration qualification (or equivalent NFQ Level 5/6).
Desirable Requirements: QQI Level 5/6 in Medical Administration or equivalent hospital experience.
Familiarity with iPMS or other hospital systems.
Previous experience in a large acute or teaching hospital.
