We are seeking an
experienced Mechanical Design Engineer
to lead the design and development of a
new product
. This is a
hands-on role
that combines conceptual design with practical implementation, requiring a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and a proven ability to turn ideas into functional prototypes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead mechanical design efforts from concept through to prototype.
* Develop 3D models and detailed design specifications using
SolidWorks
.
* Apply sound engineering judgment to define hypotheses, design tests, evaluate data, and iterate effectively.
* Conduct tolerance analysis and produce high-quality drafting documentation.
* Collaborate with junior engineers and technicians to drive project success.
Requirements
* Approximately
10 years of experience
in mechanical design, with a focus on
New Product Development
.
* Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks
.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience in
fluidics or infusion systems
is preferred.
* Ability to work independently and lead small teams.
* On-site presence in Limerick required at least
3 days per week
