About the Role - As part of the Capital Projects Team, you will play a pivotal role within an existing site-based Construction team and support the Project Managers in the delivery of projects within this leading pharmaceutical company.
Responsibilities
* Ensure Construction activities are completed per the agreed project schedule.
* Responsible for interactive planning during the construction phase.
* Liaising with contractors across all disciplines to ensure field work is completed per the issued design.
* Liaising with design team to close out RFI’s during construction.
* Engage with key stakeholders to understand their requirements and assess project feasibility.
* Identify, mitigate, and manage statutory and commercial risks associated with projects.
* Implement and enforce Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) practices and processes.
* Updating the project manager on progress and escalating any issues.
* Management of project whiteboard.
* Responsible for engaging with project team at detailed design to ensure constructability is considered in design.
* Accountable for completing quality checks in the field during construction activities.
* Responsible for reviewing the Construction System Dossiers from the contractors and communicating any issues back to the contractor.
* Responsible for authorising contractor e-permits daily and ensuring permits are requested and closed by the contractors.
* Responsible for mechanical completion walkdowns with Pfizer customer, Pfizer EHS, contractors etc as appropriate.
* Coordination of contractor resources during construction phase. Escalation of potential schedule impact due to coordination clashes to project manager for resolution.
Qualifications
* 6-8 years Construction Project Management.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience.
* Background in CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) with a strong understanding of services.
* Previous experience with a Pharmaceutical environment beneficial.
* Demonstrated success in Construction Management and relevant on-site experience.
* Proficiency in relevant software, including the MS Office suite, project programming, and analysis tools.
