Job Summary
Industrial Spray Painter is responsible for monitoring the flow of goods and materials through the company's Paint Department.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor inventory levels including cycle counts and ensure sufficient stock of paint is available to meet customer demand for upcoming projects.
Analyse data to identify areas for improvement and implement process improvements where necessary.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ISO standards for health & safety, quality and environmental.
Update SAP on a daily basis (knitting).
Complete all test plates.
Manage Paint Department resources ensuring adequate staff to meet project deadlines.
Liaise with other departments to keep the Paint department informed.
Schedule works on a project‑to‑project basis in accordance with project technical drawings; oversee and monitor line feeding.
Mentor and develop talent within the Paint Team, providing training on the use of all equipment, tools and machinery.
Manage ad‑hoc jobs/projects if the paint team has capacity and complete other jobs if the team is waiting on projects, ensuring availability and assisting other teams during these periods.
Monitor all maintenance requirements of paint equipment, alerting relevant managers/contractors regarding service and maintenance.
Ensure the Paint Department work area is maintained in an organised, clean and orderly manner in accordance with ISO standards.
Store all paints correctly when not in use.
Touch‑up units where required.
Update paint boards on a daily basis.
Record waste products and, if required, organise collection of waste products and inform production management.
Complete all paperwork/paint reports in a timely manner and in accordance with ISO standards and procedures of work.
