We are seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient collection and disposal of waste. Key Responsibilities include:
* Route Planning & Optimization: Plan, assign, and adjust daily routes for waste collection trucks using route optimization software.
* Scheduling: Create and manage collection schedules for residential and commercial clients, ensuring timely collections and adjustments for holidays, equipment breakdowns or emergencies.
* Communication with Drivers: Maintain continuous communication with drivers to ensure timely collections, relay updates and handle changes to the schedule.
* Customer Support: Serve as the point of contact for customers with questions or issues about their waste pickup services, handling service requests, complaints or missed pickups.
* Fleet Monitoring & Tracking: Use GPS and tracking tools to monitor real-time vehicle locations, track driver performance, fuel usage and adherence to assigned routes.
* Problem-Solving: Address and resolve issues such as vehicle breakdowns, missed pickups, accidents or traffic delays, reassigning resources or adjusting routes as needed.
* Compliance & Safety: Ensure all waste collection operations comply with local, state and federal regulations, promoting and enforcing safety protocols to prevent incidents.
* Data Entry & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of pickups, routes, fuel usage, vehicle maintenance and driver hours for internal reporting, invoicing and regulatory compliance.
* Coordination with Operations & Maintenance: Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to schedule vehicle repairs or routine maintenance without affecting service delivery.
* Waste Volume and Load Management: Manage and monitor waste volume and load capacity to ensure trucks do not exceed weight limits and can complete routes efficiently.
* Team Collaboration: Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to understand client needs and ensure service agreements are fulfilled, collaborating with recycling or hazardous waste teams to handle waste streams appropriately.
