Quality Assurance (QA) Test Engineer

TechHeads has partnered with an established software organisation that develops high-quality, enterprise-grade solutions for clients operating in complex, regulated markets. TechHeads is currently seeking a detail-oriented QA Test Engineer to join a growing software team. You’ll work closely with development and product teams to ensure high-quality software releases. This role is ideal for someone experienced in testing practices, passionate about quality, and able to thrive in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
Execute manual and automated test cases across products.
Design, document, and maintain test plans and test cases.
Track, report, and manage defects found during testing.
Communicate proactively with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support effective user acceptance testing.
Provide timely status updates to management.
Requirements
Degree in Computing, Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of software testing experience on complex projects.
Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience with test tools (manual and automation) and defect tracking.
Good SQL knowledge for verifying data.
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Desirable
ISTQB certification – Foundation level or above
Knowledge of scripting – JavaScript, TypeScript
Experience with API testing tool(s) - Postman or equivalent
Automation Tools experience – Playwright, Test Complete
Penetration testing experience – ZAP or equivalent
Performance testing experience – Jmeter or equivalent
Insurance knowledge
Knowledge of Azure DevOps
