Job Title: Mental Health Specialist
Location: Lucena Clinic, Bray
Lucena Clinic offers a comprehensive Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service to defined catchment areas. This service caters to a population under 18 of 172,585 residents in South Dublin City and County plus North and West County Wicklow.
Clinical Teams are based throughout the catchment area operating clinics in Tallaght, Rathgar, Dun Laoghaire, Bray, Wicklow town and Arklow.
We are seeking to expand our community team by hiring a dynamic and enthusiastic Mental Health Specialist to work with children and adolescents experiencing mental health challenges.
The Mental Health Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering effective, recovery-oriented, high-quality, team-based and integrated care.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide assessment and support to individuals and families through the delivery of appropriate treatment and recovery-oriented interventions to facilitate care in the community, aiming to reduce the need for acute hospitalization.
This includes promoting multidisciplinary teamwork, ongoing professional development and innovation in Community Mental Health Nursing.
This includes opportunities for Nurse prescribing and Advanced Nurse Practitioners roles for those wishing to advance their education, responsibilities and skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* To assess and provide support to individuals and families with mental health needs.
* To develop and implement individualized care plans that promote recovery and well-being.
* To collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, team-based care.
* To participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
* Registered or eligible for registration with the Psychiatric Nurses Division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
* Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience.
* Minimum of 2 years experience working in CAMHS setting.
* Post-registration program of study verified at National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major academic Level 8 or higher award maintained by Quality & Qualifications of Ireland (QQI) or equivalent.
