We are a hybridDesign Studio and Fabrication House. We take a holistic approach to our work, integrating scenic design, custom fabrication, lighting, AV and anything else required to deliver the concept. In this role, you will sit right at the intersection of Creative Production and fabrication. You will take creative concepts from the Creative Director and develop them into winning pitch visuals, and then refine those designs into production-ready plans and specifications for our in-house workshop, print suppliers and AV suppliers. Design & VisualizationCreate compelling 3D visualizations, renders, and floor plans that clearly communicate spatial concepts and event flows for client pitches.Design high-quality presentation decks (PowerPoint/InDesign) that sell the creative vision.Collaborate with the Creative Director to develop mood boards and style guides for exhibitions, pop-ups, and launches.Research and investigate to ensure designs are feasible, within budget, and structurally sound beforethey are sold to the client.- Translate approved concepts into production-ready plans and specifications for the workshop.- Update designs rapidly during the pre-production phase as technical constraints or budgets change.The EssentialsExperience:3+ years in Experiential Design, Exhibition Design, or Retail Design.- Spatial Awareness:Unlike a graphic designer, you think in 3D. You understand scale, flow, and how people move through a space.- Software:- Sketchup:Mastery of Sketchup, CAD and VRAY is crucial.- 3D Skills:Proficiency in Vectorworks, or Rhinois highly desired. (You need to be able to visualize the set, not just the graphics on it).- Adobe Suite:Capacity on Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign is necessary.- Fabrication Knowledge:You must understand event production and fabrication processes (From CNC to Mixed media and event carpentry)- Production Knowledge: You must have experience and understand the foundations of how event technology, lighting, staging, sound and AV are integrated and routed into events, experiences and exhibitions.The Advantage (Preferred)Material Knowledge:Understanding of standard fabrication materials (timber, acrylic, metal) and how to design with them efficiently to minimize waste.- Technical Setup:Experience setting up files for CNC or laser cutting is a massive bonus.- Production Management Experience: Experience in production or technical management at events, installations, or exhibitions.Soft SkillsCollaborative:You are happy to learn something new on every project and focus on the best approach.- Adaptable:You can switch gears from a high-level creative brainstorm to a technical artworking task in the same afternoon.- Client Engagement:Liaise directly with clients to clarify briefs, gather requirements, present concepts, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
