Are you our next IT Deskside Support Specialist?
Location: Dublin 2 on-site 5 days a week.
Grade: Assistant
Contract type: Permanent
Qualifications and Experience:
* IT Degree or equivalent qualification.
* 3-5 years in an IT client-facing role or Deskside Support.
* Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
* Understanding of PC hardware and Windows OS.
* Experience managing small to medium projects.
* Ability to automate administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
* Track equipment and software assets.
* Log and update incidents for escalation.
* Handle escalated IT incidents, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
* Roll out new hardware and maintain existing PC fleet.
* Document and optimize support processes.
* Maintain hardware inventory.
* Support mobile, telephone, and voicemail systems.
* Support structured cabling and mobile device fleet.
* Create knowledge base articles.
* Coordinate with third-party suppliers for telecom and hardware issues.
* Resolve computer and network problems.
* Provide 2nd/3rd level support to the helpdesk.
Team and Location:
You will join a team of 9 within the IT organization, supporting approximately 4,200 staff across Ireland. The team operates mainly from Dublin offices but may require attendance at other locations including Cork, Galway, and Belfast. Support hours are 8 am - 6 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional out-of-hours or weekend work for projects.
