WHY HEADCASE, WHY NOW?
We're Headcase, a team of creative problem-solvers who see the world a little differently. We help organisations and brands connect with audiences in meaningful ways, blending insight and creativity with media innovation, PR, social, storytelling and experiential to cut through the noise and reach the heart.
We've evolved fast over the past two years and are gearing up for the next chapter. With a team of 10, we're small by design: a high-value, high-trust group that works smart, moves fast, and punches far above its weight. We partner with global brands, purpose-led leaders and ambitious organisations ready to show up real and grow.
As an independent agency, we've got the freedom to do things our way, with less red tape, more flexibility, and a culture that puts people first. Our size gives us clarity over chaos; every person makes an impact, supported by systems and rhythms that keep things focused and sustainable. We know great work doesn't need late nights. At Headcase, excellence and balance go hand in hand.
We're looking for a Head of Client Services to be the operational heartbeat of the agency, leading the team, levelling up how work flows, and making sure the work lands with impact. You're probably a Senior Account Director with integrated or experiential chops, ready to take a step up into a role where you'll shape the team, the work, and the way the agency runs, bringing the hunger and entrepreneurial spirit to help write our next chapter.
THE OPPORTUNITY (WHAT YOU'LL OWN)
* Client leadership:
Build senior-level trust with clients, set the agenda, challenge their thinking, and deliver sharp, insight-driven recommendations that move the work forward.
- Team growth:
Lead and develop our account managers and project teams, setting standards, coaching confidently, and creating a culture where people thrive and deliver their best work.
- Creative partnership:
Respond to briefs with confidence, shape strategic and creative ideas, and bring fresh thinking to the table. You'll work closely with our founder, Andrew, who drives much of our strategic direction. Together, you'll shape responses to briefs and ensure ideas are both imaginative and grounded.
- Operational flow:
Guide how work moves through the agency, from briefing and scoping through to delivery and debrief, using our existing systems, studio resources, and trusted production partners. You won't be hands-on producing; your role is to create clarity, remove blockers, and keep the rhythm strong.
- Delivery excellence:
Make sure campaigns and activations are executed brilliantly across experiential, social, content, PR, and partnerships: on time, on budget, and on point.
- Commercial discipline:
Partner with finance to keep scopes tight, projects profitable, and forecasts reliable. You'll know where the money is made (and lost).
- Quality & effectiveness:
Hold the line on strategy, craft, and results, turning campaign outcomes into insights that raise the bar for future work.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
* Agency background:
7–10 years in an integrated, experiential, or brand comms agency, ideally at Senior AD level or ready to step into a 'Head Of' role.
- Client credibility:
Able to build trust with senior stakeholders, command a room, and translate big-picture goals into sharp, actionable work.
- Creative confidence:
Comfortable shaping and presenting ideas, knowing when to lead the thinking yourself and when to collaborate with Andrew as a strategic partner.
- Operational discipline:
Skilled at scoping and resourcing, with an understanding of process design. You know how to bring order without bureaucracy, ensuring projects move smoothly through capable hands.
- Team leadership:
A track record of hiring, coaching, motivating, and holding people accountable while keeping culture healthy and positive.
- Commercial awareness:
Confident with budgets, forecasts, scopes, and profitability. Able to spot risks early and keep projects financially sound.
- Collaborative mindset:
You know how to plug into senior leadership and make ideas stronger by working as a team rather than going it alone.
- Taste & judgement:
An instinct for what "good" looks like, both creatively and strategically, and the drive to make sure the work gets there.
HOW YOU WORK (THE HEADCASE FIT)
Calm momentum:
You move fast and keep people steady.
Taste + judgement:
You know what "great" looks like and how to get there.
Builder's mindset:
You improve systems, don't just inherit them.
People-first leadership:
High standards, zero drama. Excellence without burnout.
Entrepreneurial spark:
You bring tenacity, curiosity, and a hunger to push things forward, always looking for ways to grow the work, the team, and yourself.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
* In your first 30 days
You've built trust quickly with the team and clients, getting under the skin of how we work and what makes Headcase tick. You're across all live projects, spotting opportunities to streamline workflow and add value. You've begun working closely with the senior leadership team - joining coaching sessions and strategy conversations - so you're not just learning how we run the business, but helping shape where it goes next.
* By 90 days
You've fully embedded yourself into the agency's rhythm. Clients see you as a strategic partner who challenges their thinking and makes them feel in safe hands. The team feels sharper, clearer and more supported under your leadership. You've built confidence through direct collaboration with Andrew, Karla and Amanda, and your voice is part of the room when we discuss direction and growth. Campaigns are running smoothly, on time and on budget, with your fingerprints on both process and creative thinking.
* By 12 months
Headcase is running at a new level of operational excellence. Projects are leaner, smarter and more effective. You've developed and grown the team, with people stepping into bigger shoes thanks to your coaching and guidance. You're embedded in the strategic core of the business, working closely with senior leadership on growth planning and transformation, and have carved out a clear, ambitious path for your own progression. You're recognised internally as the creative–operational bridge: ensuring our ideas are not only bold and innovative, but delivered brilliantly.
WHAT YOU'LL GET
Renumeration:
€80-90k in year 1, with scope for significant growth in years 1-3 as Headcase continues to scale.
Benefits:
health insurance, pension, wellness budget and support, phone allowance and subscriptions.
Coaching and mentoring:
you'll be embedded in leadership development from day one - working closely with senior leadership and the board to help shape the company's direction while establishing your own growth path within it.
A real seat at the table:
direct exposure to top-level strategy across consumer, purpose and wellbeing, corporate and agency partnerships.
Independence and impact:
a small, high-performing team where you can make decisions quickly and see your influence immediately.
You won't be doing this alone. You'll be joining a senior team that blends creativity, strategy, and entrepreneurial firepower, and you'll have the autonomy to shape how we grow. This role is your chance to step into that circle, lead the day-to-day, and help write the next chapter of Headcase.
