As a senior nurse leader, you will join our care team at Killeline Care Centre, Newcastle West.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting, guiding, and inspiring a team of Clinical Nurse Managers, Registered Nurses, and Healthcare Assistants, ensuring the highest standards of care and quality of life for our residents.
* Support and deputise for the Director of Nursing / Person in Charge in their absence, assuming responsibilities in line with the Health Act ****, associated regulations, and HIQA standards.
* Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, infection prevention, and food safety across the Care Centre.
* Participate in clinical management and provide hands-on nursing care, ensuring effective communication with residents, families, and staff.
* Lead and coordinate the quality and safety systems, including clinical risk management and resident engagement initiatives.
* Manage and support staff through coaching, supervision, and regular performance appraisals.
* Assist in staff rostering, recruitment, and management in collaboration with the senior management team.
* Promote a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and continuous learning.
Candidate Requirements:
* Active NMBI Registration
* Previous experience as a Clinical Nurse Manager within a Nursing Home environment
* Post-registration management qualification
* A qualification in Gerontology and/or Dementia Care is highly desirable
* Strong understanding of HIQA standards, regulations, and governance in a residential care setting
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
* Proven ability to manage workload effectively and adapt to changing priorities
* Commitment to continuous improvement, professional development, and quality resident care
