Stryker is looking for an Engineering Manager, Advanced Operations to join our Instruments NPI team in Cork, Ireland. This is a highly collaborative leadership role where you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact at one of the world's leading medical technology companies.
This individual will be responsible for managing project managers & engineers tasked with the effective introduction of new products & technologies in line with divisional product portfolios. They will have ultimate responsibility for project & stakeholder management, people management, and technical assessment of all assigned projects. The successful candidate will lead the team to deliver key programs or projects within the specified timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints.

What you will do:
- Manage projects, stakeholders, and team members, including technical assessments of all assigned projects.
- Lead the team to deliver key programs or projects respecting quality, time, and cost constraints.
- Collaborate across functions within divisional and GQO organizations to deliver new products aligned with divisional pipelines.
- Participate in and represent the function at relevant business forums.
- Develop a skills matrix aligned with product roadmaps, identifying training and coaching needs to ensure technical and team skills are maintained.
- Prepare and deliver annual budgets (headcount, expenses, capital) for review and approval. Manage personnel requisitions and capital expenditure requests.
- Provide guidance in complex situations, remove obstacles, allocate resources, and interface with other functions for issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant quality, regulatory, and safety standards.
- Assess new product charters and financial plans to determine key deliverables like standard costs and launch requirements.
- Identify, hire, and manage contract SMEs to validate and release new processes/equipment to production according to Stryker standards.
- Partner with HR to identify, acquire, develop, and retain top talent.
- Set priorities with a sense of urgency to ensure timely delivery of new products respecting quality and cost constraints.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you need:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, biomedical engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in engineering, management, or related fields.
