Engineer – Surveying & Setting Out (Cork)

Pod-Trak is seeking a technically capable Site Engineer to deliver setting-out, surveying, and quality control activities across infrastructure projects in Cork. You will work closely with Project Managers, designers, and site teams to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to exacting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out accurate setting out, levelling, and surveying for civil engineering works
Verify dimensions, levels, and alignments against design specifications
Record as-built data and maintain QA documentation
Support construction teams with technical problem-solving and coordination
Liaise with designers, subcontractors, and site management to resolve technical issues
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
Requirements
Proven experience in surveying and setting out for civil or infrastructure projects
Proficient in GPS, total station, and AutoCAD
Understanding of design drawings, specifications, and tolerances
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Relevant engineering qualification and Safe Pass card
Experience within rail, utilities, or power infrastructure
Knowledge of drainage, ducting, or reinforced concrete structures
