Job Title: Financial Assistant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Assistant to support the day-to-day financial operations of our Dublin office.
Job Description
* Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
* Maintain and update billing records in the accounting system.
* Support the Accounts Receivable process by tracking outstanding invoices and assisting with follow-ups with clients.
* E nsure compliance with Irish VAT regulations and invoicing standards.
* Assist with bank reconciliations.
* Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and supporting documentation.
* Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
* Assist in preparing VAT returns, VIES, and other compliance reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Diploma or Degree level qualification in Accounting, Finance, or allied field.
* Min 1-2 years' experience working in accounting / finance function.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and Accounting Software (SAP B1, Sage, QuickBooks or similar).
* Ability to proactively handle daily Business, Accounting, and Financial needs.
* Experience and understanding of Irish accounting regulations, VAT and invoicing compliance.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Professional communication skills (oral & written).
* Ability to work independently and in a team.
* Ability to work under deadlines and manage priorities efficiently.
* Autonomous & sense of responsibility.
