Internship Overview
Genesys is recruiting software engineer interns to join our development teams, working on our Software as a Service (SaaS) platform. If you have a passion for software development and want to work in a highly collaborative, fast‑paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
Our internships afford you an opportunity to work on all aspects of software engineering with teams building cloud‑based SaaS applications using AWS, REST, micro‑services, and primarily Java, Python, C++, and JavaScript.
Gain exposure to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning integration—including intelligent automation, predictive analytics, and AI‑powered customer engagement solutions.
Work in an innovative, fun, and diverse environment building applications at the convergence of Customer Care and Big Data.
Learn how to write real‑world software and understand how a real‑world software development team functions; many interns contribute code in production.
Interns are placed directly with individual scrum teams, contributing to every stage of the software development lifecycle.
Location
These positions are only open to candidates willing to work from our Galway office on a hybrid basis (2‑3 days per week in‑office).
Qualifications
Actively pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or related disciplines (or a diverse educational background with a passion for software engineering).
Genuine passion for software and interest in cutting‑edge technologies.
Understanding of algorithms and data structures.
Interest in learning rest‑ful API design.
Eagerness to work with one or more of the following: Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, and AWS.

Machine Learning / Data Science – scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, Spark ML, Kafka
Cloud – AWS (DynamoDB, Lambdas, EC2, S3 buckets, etc.)
