Technical Business Analyst – 6 Month Contract, Hybrid, Dublin
What's Involved
* Lead and facilitate workshops to capture and document current ("as-is") processes, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
* Conduct detailed gap analysis, process mapping, data analysis, and system integration analysis to support solution design.
* Elicit, document, and refine clear, actionable user stories and technical integration stories aligned to sprint goals.
* Collaborate closely with stakeholders, design teams, and delivery teams to shape functional solutions and support sprint execution.
* Participate in programme increment planning, sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, and ongoing prioritisation activities.
* Mentor junior analysts and contribute to continuous improvement within the Business Analyst community.
What's Needed
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a Business Analyst or IT change role, ideally within Financial Services (Health, Life, or Pensions experience advantageous).
* Strong expertise in business analysis disciplines including process engineering, data analysis, requirements elicitation, and solution design.
* Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments with hands-on involvement in sprint planning and backlog management.
* Strong stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
* Technical proficiency in data analysis and querying (e.g., SQL/PLSQL) and familiarity with system integration concepts and reporting.
