Job Title: Health and Safety Leader
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Leader to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to lead, coordinate, and implement health and safety programs across a high-risk industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and monitor site-wide HSE policies, procedures, and risk-control measures to ensure regulatory compliance.
* Lead risk assessments for all critical activities and oversee high-risk operations such as LOTO, confined space, working at height, hot works, heavy lifting, and hazardous substances.
* Mentor and coach supervisors, safety reps, and frontline staff on safe work practices and facilitate toolbox talks, safety briefings, and safety leadership sessions to drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on behavioural safety.
* Manage incident reporting systems and conduct root-cause analysis using industry-standard methodologies such as 5-Why, Fishbone, TapRooT, etc.
* Develop and deliver HSE training programs for staff, contractors, and visitors, and maintain training matrices to ensure mandatory certifications are current.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or recognized qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
* In-depth knowledge of industrial H&S legislation, codes of practice, and heavy-industry safety standards.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to perform detailed investigations, and proficient in HSE management systems (ISO 45001 preferred).
* Excellent leadership, influencing, communication, and report writing capabilities.
