Job Overview
As a Process Optimization Specialist, you will be responsible for enhancing the overall efficiency of our manufacturing processes. This involves reviewing raw material utilization, labor allocation, material flow, changeovers, and cleanliness to ensure optimal production yields.
Key Responsibilities:
* Optimize plant performance by implementing process improvements
* Participate in daily/weekly/quarterly production planning meetings and implement relevant actions
* Lead cross-functional problem-solving groups to resolve production line issues
* Liaise with suppliers and contractors for process modifications and propose capital projects
* Maintain and formalize production documentation, including technical specifications and standard operating procedures
Requirements
* Competence in Lean Manufacturing Principles
* Knowledge of Quality Systems, mechanical and electrical automation design, and strong project management skills
* Strong technical problem-solving ability, leadership, and motivational skills
* Organized, structured, and able to work under pressure
The ideal candidate will possess a degree qualification in process or mechanical engineering, with 5+ years of experience in continuous process manufacturing. A Certificate of 6 Sigma Black Belt or Lean Master is an advantage. Competency in MS Office and PowerPoint Presentations is also required.
