The GSOC Supervisor will be responsible for managing and leading the Dublin based GSOC team, liaising with counterparts in San Francisco and for ensuring global standards are maintained.
The successful candidate will act as a liaison between internal departments within the organisation. Other work may include but is not limited to, special projects, assignments, company wide initiatives related to Safety & Security Operations.
The ideal candidate possesses strong interpersonal skills and is able to work collaboratively, is detail oriented, process driven and keeps up with our client's fast-paced environment.
Role and responsibilities
* Serve as a subject-matter expert regarding the GSOC's daily operations and security procedures and act as an on-the-ground leader for Operators.
* Ensure consistency from Operators in day-to-day operations related to emergency response, employee communications, travel safety, event and EP support, and security systems monitoring and response.
* Support the GSOC Management Team on initiatives and tasks required in the day-to-day operations of the GSOC.
* Assist the GSOC Management Team in the development of SOPs related to emergency response, operational metrics, employee communications, travel safety, event and EP support, and security systems monitoring and response.
* Guide Operators in the effective monitoring of assets and executive residences as well as its personnel, guests and others while at our clients sites.
* Oversee capable response to incidents and requests for assistance from the internal community, including business travellers.
* Provide consistent feedback to Operators in line with GSOC SOPs.
* Develop training materials and deliver training to current and new operators.
* Provide guidance and edits around tactical intelligence reports and security plans developed by the Operators.
* Develop emergency communications, safety and security advisories, security plans and templates to support tasks with minimal oversight.
* During times of emergency incidents, VIP visits, client events and other high-traffic events, provide active assistance and support to Operators.
* Utilise mass communication systems to notify employees during emergency events.
* Supervise and coordinate cross-functional stakeholder engagement in a wide variety of areas including in emergency and crisis situations.
* Support effective dispatching and monitoring of the security guard force by the GSOC team.
* Perform various safety and security tasks, as directed by management.
Qualifications
* Two-to-three years of experience working in a GSOC, Security Operations or a similar role.
* Previous experience working in a security environment as a lead analyst, supervisor or team lead is a plus.
* Project coordination or management experience.
* Strong understanding of how CCTV and access-control programs work and how to leverage tools in support of the GSOC Management Team and Operators.
* Experience designing or implementing SOPs, training programs or other documents within a corporate security or GSOC environment.
* Previous experience working alongside cross-functional security teams.
* Ability to communicate effectively with members of client leadership, security stakeholders and client company employees.
* Strong ability to make quick decisions, gather pertinent information and communicate with security leadership and stakeholders during high-level crisis and emergency incidents in line with SOPs, especially in the absence of client leadership.
* Ability to gather and analyse large amounts of data and information and compile it into easily digestible, concise reporting.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including on the radio and phone.
