A leading farming and globally recognised thoroughbred breeding operation is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join its Farm Office team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting both financial and operational aspects of the business. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, including: Reviewing and signing off payments Preparing payment runs and managing cash Processing monthly journals, accruals, and prepayments Reviewing and submitting VAT returns Signing off monthly bank reconciliations Prepare monthly financial packages (P&L, Balance Sheet, cashflow analysis) Budget and cashflow preparation with ongoing analysis Prepare year-end accounts file and liaise with external accountants and tax consultants Deliver seasonal operational management reporting (financial and narrative) Drive improvements in internal systems and controls Requirements: Fully Qualified Accountant with minimum 5 years post-qualification experience Strong knowledge of accounting software and ability to enhance existing systems Farming background or familiarity with the Department of Agriculture (advantageous but not essential) Proven experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and communication abilities What We Offer: Attractive remuneration package Opportunities for further training and career progression Exposure to a growing division and wider business operations Ready to take the next step in your career?
