Business development director

Alongside our core IT services, we are proud to offer tapybl, our flagship education-focused software product designed to enhance learning and engagement.The Business Development Director will lead revenue growth and market expansion for Anitech Solutions’ portfolio of IT and AI services, alongside its EdTech product, Tapybl. This role is responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive sales strategy, building strategic partnerships, and driving client acquisition across a breadth of industries.Working closely with leadership and delivery teams, the Business Development Director will position Anitech’s agile, outcome-driven delivery model and innovative solutions to solve complex client challenges.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a business development and sales strategy for IT services, AI solutions, and Tapybl.Identify new market opportunities and industry verticalsOwn revenue targets, pipeline development, and forecastingLead end-to-end sales cycles: prospecting, qualification, solution positioning, proposal development, negotiation, and closingEstablish scalable sales processes and performance metricsBuild and nurture long-term relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makersTranslate client business challenges into tailored IT/AI and EdTech solutionsCollaborate with delivery and product teams to align offerings with market needsDrive go-to-market strategy and sales for Tapybl in education and corporate learning segmentsDefine value propositions, pricing strategies, and customer success approachesProvide regular reporting and insights to executive leadershipRequirements8–12+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client-facing commercial roles within IT services, AI or EdTechStrong, demonstrated track record of building pipelines, developing new business, and closing high-value dealsProven ability to originate opportunities through networking, outreach, and relationship developmentExperience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with a consultative approachExceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to establish trust and credibility with senior stakeholders.Strong networking capabilities and the ability to open doors, create opportunities, and expand accounts.Highly developed communication, presentation, and storytelling skills tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.Skilled in negotiating and structuring commercial agreements that create long-term valueSolid understanding of IT services, AI solutions, and digital transformation trends.Familiarity with Agile delivery models and modern software development practicesExposure to EdTech or experience selling into the education sector is an advantageWorking conditionsOpportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the growth strategy of a fast-growing technology and AI business.Direct access to executive leadership, with a reporting line to the CEO and significant influence on strategic decision-making.Flexible engagement model (full-time or contract) to suit individual career preferences.Hybrid working environment with locations in Dublin or Belfast.Collaborative and entrepreneurial culture where ideas are valued and action is encouraged.High level of autonomy, ownership, and flexibility
