Description
This is an in‑person position located in Cork, Ireland with a start date in late summer, working on a small team within the larger SDS organization. The work you will do as part of this program will help you:
Gain familiarity with complex decisioning systems
Work with cross‑functional business partner teams
Monitor and maintain production decision points
Obtain experience updating decision automation systems
Design, develop, and deploy technical solutions to current business problems
Minimum Qualifications
BSc (Hons), M.Sc, or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, BIS, or a related field completing in 2024 or later
A minimum of a 2.1 (Hons) degree or equivalent is required
Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, Java, or similar language
Working knowledge of databases
Solid grasp of data analysis
Understanding of machine learning algorithms
Experience with version control systems
Ability to comprehend and debug software systems
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications
Internship or project experience in software engineering, data science, or related field
Familiarity with machine learning or optimization frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit‑learn)
Proficiency in SQL and working with large‑scale databases
Familiarity with data processing pipelines
Knowledge of supply chain management concepts or operations research
