About the Role:
Our client, a reputable public sector organisation, is seeking a capable and efficient Clerical Officer (Grade 4) to join their team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong administrative skills and a background in office support within a structured, process-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level clerical and administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Draft correspondence, reports, and documentation as required.
- Maintain and manage records, files, and data systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders professionally.
- Support senior staff with diary management, scheduling, and general administrative tasks.
- Assist with data entry, minute-taking, and document processing.
- Respond to telephone and email enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a clerical or administrative role, ideally at Grade 4 or equivalent level.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
- Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Desirable:
- Experience working within the public sector or a regulated environment.
