Business Development Sales Role
We are seeking a skilled Business Development Sales Professional to join our team. As a key member of our sales department, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities while growing existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and develop new business opportunities while growing existing accounts.
* Engage directly with consultants, contractors, and end clients to promote products and services.
* Deliver technical presentations and CPDs to enhance market understanding.
* Collaborate with in-house technical teams to produce system designs and specifications.
* Prepare clear, detailed proposals and competitive quotations.
* Build and maintain relationships, nurturing leads from enquiry through to secured orders.
* Lead commercial discussions and negotiate contracts effectively.
* Coordinate with operations teams to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction.
* Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers on pricing and technical clarifications.
* Support marketing activities including exhibitions, case studies, and digital campaigns.
Requirements:
* Degree-level qualification in business, marketing or similar (or equivalent proven experience).
* Previous experience in a B2 B sales role.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Commercially astute with solid negotiation capabilities.
* Proficient in IT systems and tools.
* Ability to read and interpret architectural or technical drawings.
* Eligible to work in the UK.
* Flexible to travel with occasional overnight stays.
* Full driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
Desirable Criteria:
* Knowledge of HVAC systems and related building standards.
* Experience in a comparable sales role within a technical or construction environment.
* Familiarity with tendering and procurement processes in construction.
